Designed for the adult beginner, this hands-on class introduces non-musicians to the joy of playing the piano, while demystifying the musical language in simple easy to understand terms.
Using the study of popular music, blues, and the principals of applied harmony in classical and jazz music, all students are able to master the basics of music theory, piano technique and exit the course with the capacity to perform rewarding arrangements of their favorite songs.
The class also prepares students for more advanced studies of Jazz, Classical, Pop, Songwriting or Composition with a private teacher or may be repeated multiple times. Class size is limited to a few students only, for a more effective learning environment—Please enroll early.
